Joseph John Armstrong

Joseph John Armstrong, age 40 of North Branch, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018 resulting from an accident.  Joseph was born March 4, 1978 in Pontiac, the son of Clay and Annette (Strzelecki) Armstrong.  Joe grew up in North Branch and  attended North Branch High School.  On March 13, 2004 he married Marianne Szeliga at their home in North Branch.  Joe was a carpenter doing work for businesses and residents. Joe had a Huge heart and he always put his family and friends first.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing,  watching all sports, especially the Red Wings, and of course “Budweiser”.   

Joseph is survived by his wife, Marianne; children: Drake, Brookelyn, and Kolten; parents, Clay and Annette Armstrong; parents-in-law; Linda (George) Howay and Larry (Stephanie) Szeliga; grandparents, John and Stella Armstrong, and Joe and Ethel Strzelecki; siblings; Paul and (Beth) Armstrong, John Armstrong, Jennifer (Dane) Fanson, James (Chelsie) Armstrong, Stephanie (Adam) Green, Joshua Armstrong, Jason Armstrong, Jacob (Katie) Armstrong, Jessica Armstrong, Jeffery Armstrong, Jordan Armstrong, Jacque Armstrong,and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; brother and sisters-in-law; Jennifer (Brian) Andre, Michele (Alan) Page, Brienna Howay and Christian Howay.  Joseph had two dogs that he enjoyed, Bowser and Remi.

He was preceded in death by his brother Jeremiah.

Memorials may be made to the family.

The family will be present for visitation on Saturday, 10 AM to 2 PM with the Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 PM all at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home.  Pastors James and Chad Hampton will officiate.
