John Hanna

John Hanna, age 73 passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. John was born on November 17, 1943 in Goodrich, MI, the son of Samuel and Vivian (Scott) Hanna, Sr. John grew up in North Branch and attended North Branch schools. On November 7, 1986, he married Sally Brace in North Branch Methodist Church. John worked for General Motors as a fork truck driver, retiring with 34 years of service. John enjoyed woodworking and helping other people. He loved online and live auctions. He also liked camping and playing cards. Mostly, John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Left to cherish John’s memory are: his wife, Sally; daughter, Sue (Hugh) Fosdick; sons, Lee (Susan) Bennett, Ron (Alison) Bennett, Jim (Becky) Brace and Corey (Michelle) Brace; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Ed) Gark; brother, Samuel Hanna; sister-in-law, Sandra Hanna; many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James and sister, Gladyce.

A celebration of John’s life will be Friday, December 2nd at 1:00 PM at the North Branch Masonic Temple with Rev. Ron Hutchinson officiating.
