Ivan Levern Andersen

Ivan Levern Andersen, age 85 of Fostoria passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility.  Ivan was born November 16, 1932 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Glenn and Beatrice (Snyder) Andersen.  Ivan graduated from North Branch High School in 1951.  On November 27, 1954 Ivan Married Darlene Brunett, Darlene passed away in 2006.   Ivan retired from General Motors after 35 years of service.

Ivan loved the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming, and growing a large garden to give away vegetables to anyone in need.  He especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. 

Ivan is survived by his son, Roger of Fostoria; grandsons, Benjamin and Dustin; great-grandchildren, Curtis, Adelley, and Savanna; sisters, Vivian Watts and Elzoria Morgan; brothers, Aleethon (Kathryn) Andersen and Douglas (Jean) Andersen; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ivan was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Darlene; brother, Derwood; and sister, Eva.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude. 

The family will be present for visitation on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 3 to 8 PM, and Tuesday, January, 9, 2018 from 10 to 11 AM, with the Funeral Service to follow at 11 AM at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home.  Pastor Brent Jerome will officiate.

Ivan will be laid to rest next to his wife, Darlene at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery in Mt. Morris.
