George Eugene Lemaster

George Eugene Lemaster, age 85 of North Branch passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at his home in the loving care of his family.  George was born on February 22, 1932 in Antigo, Wisconsin, the son of the late Thomas and Edna (Creech) Lemaster.  George served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy.  George retired from Browning Ferris Industries after many years of service. 

George enjoyed the outdoors he loved to going hunting, fishing and bowling.  Nothing gave him more pleasure than his family.

George is survived by his wife, Joan M. Lemaster; daughters, Laurie (Michael) Dennis of Denver, Colorado, Merry (Gary) Yakes of North Branch MI, Gina Lemaster of Brown City , Heather Carter of Fostoria, MI, Rhonda Lemaster of Tampa, Florida, and Melissa Lemaster of Fostoria, MI; sons, Mike (Bobbie) Lemaster of North Branch, Tim (Traci) Lemaster of West Chicago, Illinois, Jeff (Tracey) Lemaster of Salina, Kansas, Rick (Donna) Smith of Lapeer, MI, and George Lemaster of Salina, Kansas; sisters, Joyce (Norm) Zielke of North Branch, Pat Peck of Clarkston, MI, brothers; Harold Lemaster of Texas, Don (Pat) Lemaster of MI , Dan (Kathy) Lemaster of MI , and Richard Lemaster of MI; 30 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

George was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Laurel Bowman; brothers, Sam Lemaster, Tom Lemaster, Henry Lemaster; brother-in-law, Herb Peck; sisters-in-law, Mickey Lemaster, Charlene Lemaster, and Fanny Eubank.

Memorials may be made to the family.

The family will be present for visitation on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 3 to 8 PM and Monday, May 8, 2017 from 12 to 1 PM. The Funeral Service will be a 1:00 PM all Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home.  Rev. Mike Meakin will officiate.  Burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery on May 9, 2017.
